Lone Scouting, whilst still in its infancy, is a real area for potential growth within BSO. We are searching for a new Chair for the group of Lone Scout Trustees.
Scouting relies on strong leadership. If you are a good communicator, can influence and support other Trustees to use their unique skills and have a keen interest to see Scouting grow in areas where BSO is not present, you would be an ideal Chair Person for BSO Lone Scouts.
You will use your strong communication skills to help a team of committed adult volunteers, who make up the Trustees, arrive at a good decision that will benefit young people. Able to work as part of a team, you will also contribute to the direction and development of the Lone Scouts.
An understanding of Scouting in BSO is preferable. What is most important is your own skills and experience as well as empathy with our mission and values. We will provide all appropriate training and ongoing support.
Lone Scouts is part of THE FRIENDS OF THE CHURCH OF ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST, offering fun, friendship and skills for life.
